  • Bands on the Beach: Vibe Irie
    📅 May 19 | Gulfside Pavilion, Pensacola Beach
    Pensacola Beach’s free outdoor concert series continues with Vibe Irie, a local reggae party band known for reggae, calypso, trop-rock, and good Gulf Coast energy. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy music by the water.
  • Annual Family Beach Fest

    A free Memorial Day weekend concert at the Gulfside Pavilion featuring Colton Dixon, Caid Thomson, and Cameron Theodos, honoring faith, family, and the military.

Memorial Day weekend is a meaningful time along the Gulf Coast, with opportunities to gather, remember, and enjoy the start of summer with family and friends.

  • America’s Tall Ship: U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle in Pensacola
    📅 May 23–25 | Pensacola
    The U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle visits Pensacola as part of its 2026 schedule. Known as “America’s Tall Ship,” Eagle is a 295-foot, three-masted barque and the only active square-rigger in United States government service. Public tour details are expected closer to the event.
  • Run, Roast & Refresh: Pensacola’s Wellness Social Beach Edition

  • Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks
    📅 May 23 | Downtown OWA, Foley
    A patriotic fireworks show lights up the sky over Downtown OWA and Tropic Falls, creating a festive summer kickoff for families and visitors. Admission is free.

May is also a great month for food lovers, with events highlighting local seafood, creative cocktails, and beachside favorites.

  • Alabama Seafood Cook-Off
    📅 May 18 | The Wharf, Orange Beach
    Four chef teams from across Alabama will compete for the title, prize money, and the chance to represent the state at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off. Guests can enjoy dinner at The Wharf and watch the chefs showcase their skills.
  • 2026 Bloody Mary Festival
    📅 May 30 | Bamboo Willie’s, Pensacola Beach
    This beachside cocktail competition features more than 15 local bars and restaurants serving their most creative Bloody Mary recipes. Guests can vote for their favorite while enjoying live music, vendors, and beachside views.

  • Venture Out
    📅 May 15–17 | Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores
    Gulf State Park hosts its first Venture Out event, a three-day outdoor festival featuring nature activities, workshops, guided tours, bike rides, ropes course sessions, beach walks, wildlife experiences, and plein air artists along the trails.
  • Orange Beach Billfish Classic
    📅 May 12–16 | The Wharf Marina, Orange Beach
    A signature Gulf Coast fishing tournament and the kickoff to the Eastern Gulf tournament circuit. Spectators can watch boats depart and enjoy free weigh-ins at Marlin Circle at The Wharf.
  • Grand Fiesta Parade presented by Kia Autosport
    📅 May 29 | Downtown Pensacola
    One of Pensacola’s favorite Fiesta events, this downtown parade features local krewes, colorful floats, marching bands, beads, and special appearances by DeLuna, his Queen, and their court.
