Local Events from Pensacola to the Eastern Shore

Summer is in full swing along the Gulf Coast, and few stretches of the year offer more to enjoy. The days are long, the water is warm, and the calendar is filled with festivals, fireworks, live music, and the Blue Angels overhead.

This year carries a little extra meaning, too. The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday, and the nation marks its 250th birthday, so the patriotic celebrations from downtown Pensacola to Fairhope, Daphne, and Orange Beach are bigger than usual. Here are some of the best ways to get out and enjoy where we live this June and July.

🎉 Festivals & Signature Events

Summer brings some of the area’s most memorable gatherings, from glowing gardens to one-of-a-kind cultural celebrations.

• Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival

With the holiday landing on a Saturday and the country celebrating its 250th birthday, there are patriotic gatherings and fireworks on both sides of the bay all weekend long.

✈️ The Blue Angels & Pensacola Beach Air Show

Nothing says summer in Pensacola quite like the Blue Angels, and July brings the squadron home for one of the year’s biggest events.
